About Your Tour

Black Cab Heritage Tours was founded in 2008, and are now the largest provider of private bespoke Tours that are undertaken in an iconic London taxi.

BCHT offer exclusive private (perfect for small groups) tours and day excursions in a traditional London taxi (up to 6 guests) – with a knowledgeable London cabbie who is also a Tour Guide (accredited by the City University).

Services are priced up ‘per group’ and not ‘per person’ – unlike many other London tour operators.

We provide panoramic sightseeing experiences, that get up close and personal with famous landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites – but our presentation stops are provided in less crowded locations, and are also perfect for those all-important photo shoots.

Classic London Tours are extremely popular, as are our themed options for Harry Potter, James Bond and Beatles fans (for example), plus also Day Excursions to the English Countryside – and your service can also be further customised and tailor-made for any bespoke requirements.

Fees are fully inclusive of – private professional guiding services, door to door transportation, parking and tolls, local taxes, courtesy onboard refreshments and public liability insurance.

We can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people in an iconic traditional London Black Cab – but we also have 6-seaters such as a Mercedes Vito London Black Cab – plus the new Electric Cab London Black Cab which has panoramic sightseeing roof.

All London Black Cabs are licensed by ‘Transport for London’, which is the Local Government authority responsible for all transportation systems in Greater London – and we can utilise the capital’s bus lanes for extra efficiency.

Our vehicles are maintained to a very high standard – and each vehicle is valeted before any service – all air vents and surfaces are wiped clean with antibacterial disinfectant agents on a daily basis.

Our vehicles can accommodate wheelchair-assisted travellers, ramps are provided for easy on and off access plus steps for those with mobility issues.

Health and safety is a priority at BCHT – and guests are additionally informed of passenger cabin controls, plus inclusive grab handles for use when alighting and entering the vehicle, and lighting is provided at floor level.

Seat belts are a legal requirement in Great Britain, although child’s seats are not in a London Black Cab – but  we would be happy to provide one or booster seats if required.

Driver Guides

We always Meet and Greet clients at central London hotels or vacation residences, and the final set-down point can either be back at the start-point or preferred London – so , if you intend to head off to a restaurant, shopping or the theatre It’s a free cab ride!

All vehicles are fully air conditioned for the warmer months – and hosts always provide courtesy drinks for guest’s additional comfort.

BCHT Driver Guides are locals who know the REAL London and are passionate about THEIR London – and can get right under its skin to provide you with a factual and interesting historical Tour, which is also fun and entertaining! Hosts provide running commentary via a crisp, clear intercom system – and your questions will not get lost on a bus full with 50 people!

Sit back – and enjoy the ride!

Black Cab Heritage Tours is Good to Go!

At Black Cab Heritage Tours we place the highest priority on the health and welfare of our customers, team and the wider community. This is particularly the case during the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.  It may be a little while before our guests arrive from overseas, as the UK Government recently announced the current 14-day quarantine period remains in place for inbound tourists - to be reviewed every 3 weeks.  We have, however, started to offer a limited number of private tour options as of Saturday 4 July, initially to singles, couples and small nuclear family groups - and we continue to accept future reservations.

Our approach is in line with the most recent guidance issued by the UK government, and additional advice from the World Health Organisation. We have also put in new health and safety measures in order to promote social distancing and to limit all non-essential face-to-face contact, which has been recognized by Visit Britain as "Good to Go!"
