Pat Wilkey – BCHT Driver Guide

Accredited London Tour Guide

Pat Wilkey
BCHT Driver Guide

I have been driving an iconic Black Taxi for over 18 years now. Before I joined the ranks of London’s finest, and whilst I was studying the Knowledge, I worked for the Bank of Scotland.

I have always had a fascination of London’s rich history and would often point out places of interest to my passengers, whether they wanted me to or not. I eventually decided to do it properly and so qualified as a Taxi Guide with The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers in October 2014.

I love meeting new overseas visitors to London and enjoy telling them about the not so “Touristy” corners of London to discover.

Hopefully see you soon.

  • Our tour was excellent and our guide, Pat, was terrific. She was so gracious and so informative, not only offering us a real insider’s view of London but leveraging her knowledge and experience to allow us to see the sights in which we were most interested in the most efficient manner. We would definitely recommend Black Cab Heritage and Pat to any who want to visit and learn about London.

  • It was an absolutely amazing experience
I was with Patricia and she seems very knowledgeable about the tour. I loved and enjoyed every minute of the tour and would definitely avail the same service next time. Thank you

  • We only had one full day in London so it had to be efficient. I booked a half day tour with Patricia and she showed up promptly at our lodging and filled the next four hours with sights and stories of London. My traveling companion who had been to a London several times before said that she learned things about the city she never knew. It was a steamy day in the 90’s, but we were cool and comfortable in the cab. I would definitely recommend this tour with Patricia!

  • Don’t waste your time searching anymore…Patricia was great! So professional, so friendly and so knowledgable, I was on the edge of my seat all day listening. We saw the major landmarks, but really enjoyed the little details about London Patricia shared. The day was an amazing history lesson. I can’t say enough. I think we’d do it again tomorrow if we could. Thanks for a wonderful day Patricia!

  • Patricia was an absolutely lovely guide! We had a long layover in London-Gatwick and she was able to accommodate a whirlwind tour of London. We even managed to sneak in a stop at a local Fish and Chips shop. Patricia was very knowledgeable and such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with!

  • My sister and I were directed to Black Cab tours by our Aunty, trying to organise with another company and it was the best thing to do in London by far! Pat Wilkey was full of knowledge and customised our tour to what we wanted to see and learn about London. She was an amazing tour guide and Rob was great at helping us get it all organised. If you are wanting to see a lot of London, especially when you are short on time, and know where to come back to, Black Cabs will do an excellent job in helping you! Thank you Rob and Pat for your great expertise and experience.

Black Cab Heritage Tours is Good to Go!

At Black Cab Heritage Tours we place the highest priority on the health and welfare of our customers, team and the wider community. This is particularly the case during the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.  It may be a little while before our guests arrive from overseas, as the UK Government recently announced the current 14-day quarantine period remains in place for inbound tourists - to be reviewed every 3 weeks.  We have, however, started to offer a limited number of private tour options as of Saturday 4 July, initially to singles, couples and small nuclear family groups - and we continue to accept future reservations.

Our approach is in line with the most recent guidance issued by the UK government, and additional advice from the World Health Organisation. We have also put in new health and safety measures in order to promote social distancing and to limit all non-essential face-to-face contact, which has been recognized by Visit Britain as "Good to Go!"
