Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral (Magna Carta) Day Excursion

This special Day Excursion into the English Countryside from your London hotel or vacation residence will be taking in 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites – to Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral (which houses a copy of the Magna Carta). On this magical day of exploration we shall try to unravel the mysteries surrounding the pre-historic stone circle at Stonehenge that has baffled historians for 5,000 years – and also enjoy the fabulous new visitor centre with its museum at its centrepiece, perfect for understanding the rituals, religions, archaeological artifacts and stories connected to this enigmatic Neolithic site.

Lunch options include a Traditional Country Pub alongside the picturesque River Avon.
Salisbury Cathedral is a short drive away, and what a surprise is in for you as you get to splendour this 13th century English Gothic masterpiece and take in the tallest spire in Great Britain! Our visit to this majestic location includes viewing the Magna Carta (which dates back to 1215) and laid the foundation for the constitution of democracy in most civilised countries worldwide.

We shall also marvel at the oldest working (medieval) clock in the world – and perhaps take afternoon tea in the pretty refectory which has a glass roof under that 400 foot spire. **Please Note – Admission to Stonehenge is not included but our concierge team can pre-order and pre-purchase your skip the line tickets.
